Special Edition 500 Abarth Exclusively for France

Good things come in small packages. Like the Fiat 500 Abarth. Sure, it's just a little hatchback, but the car that's taking European markets by storm can be ordered as a venerable fire-breathing little monster courtesy of the Italian automaker's performance division. Abarth has churned out no shortage of special editions, but here's one actually undertaken by one of its importers.

The SpeedGrey edition starts with the 160-horsepower 500 Abarth SS and upgrades it with a special Monza exhaust good for another five horses, plus tinted windows, satellite navigation, Sabelt racing seats and a special gray paint scheme usually available only on Maseratis. Unfortunately Neubauer will only be making ten examples, all dedicated to the French market for where the company serves as official distributor.

Baby Supercar: Abarth 695 Tributo Ferrari

At polar ends of the vastly expanding Fiat empire sit the Italian auto industry's sportiest, most performance-oriented marques: Abarth at one end, with its turbocharged little hatchbacks, and Ferrari at the other, with its fire-breathing exotic supercars. But now the two companies have come together for an exclusive project using the base from one as a tribute to the other.

Called the Abarth 695 Tributo Ferrari, it's essentially a Fiat 500 at heart, but tuned by engineers at Abarth and Ferrari to transform into another beast entirely. The eye-catching red paintjob with grey stripes mimics the Ferrari 430 Scuderia. Inside, watchmaker Jaeger-LeCoultre has fitted special instruments, and Sabelt has crafted special bucket seats. Under the hood, the turbocharged 1.4-liter 16-valve engine has been tuned by the collaborating engineers to produce over 180 horsepower, with a variable exhaust system and a paddle-shifted automated manual transmission. Brembo brakes hide behind 17" competition-spec wheels. And while it may not be the baby Ferrari some people have been waiting for, it's the closest some might get.

Fiat Tempts Dutch Buyers with Exclusive Special Edition 500 Abarth Competizione

While some automakers are celebrating their centenaries, Fiat's performance division is marking a much smaller anniversary: one year since the sport marque returned to the Dutch market. And to celebrate, they're launching an exclusive special edition of their hot-selling premium retro hatchback. Called the Fiat 500 Abarth Competizione, only ten examples will be made with a $35,000 price tag. For the premium price, a handful of buyers in the Netherlands will get special wheels and trim and all the extra equipment – including satellite navigation, climate control, special racing bucket seats and more – plus of course that indefinable quality we know as exclusivity.
