Joerger Crystal Bath Faucets

Joerger Crystal Bath Faucets
I always love looking at bathroom fixtures that include crystal accents but I have to admit I don't ever plan on having any in my home because although they're very beautiful they also look outrageously difficult to keep shiny and clean! But I still enjoy browsing and these latest designs from Joerger are as pretty as any I've seen. You can go classic and opt for silver hardware with clear or frosted crystal knobs, or more modern and styled by choosing colored crystal in one of five hues including the red shown here. No matter which you choose, they're sure to make a statement of luxury and refinement in your bathroom.

Oz Diamond Edition Faucet

If you just can't seem to fit enough diamonds into your life then here's a new place to put them: on your bathroom faucets. Designed by architect Nilo Gioacchini, the Oz Diamond Edition faucet consists of gold with a strip of 282 sparkling natural diamonds. For the room that just needs more bling I guess. Of course they're beautiful, and any sink with one of these faucets will also be beautiful, but diamonds in the kitchen and the bathroom? It kinda strikes me as a waste of jewels (not to mention a pain to keep clean).

Whimsical Glass Faucets from James McKelvey

Not only is this faucet beautiful but it also appeals to the whimsical child inside of me that still secretly gets a kick out of using silly straws. Bright vibrant color combines with the natural beauty of glass for a unique visual impact. Standing tall above the vanity the James McKelvey collection of glass faucets feature a ribbed hand-blown design in lead-free crystal that is easy to clean and bacteria resistant. And they're not only beautiful to look at, but to use also as the water will stream down from such a high vantage point. Available in a variety of heights, colors, and single or double-twist designs, you can easily fit it into almost any color and decorating scheme.

Miscea Sensor Activated Faucet

Now here's a high-tech faucet: the Miscea Sensor Activated Faucet. The faucet recognizes through motion alone what you want not only in the way of water on/water off, water warmer/water colder but also soap and disinfectant lotion options. It's made of stainless steel with a laser-engraved glass interface that uses LED lighting to activate corresponding features as you bring your hand close. And it's high-tech in an eco-friendly way by both encouraging a cleaner environment (no touching germy or wet hands to the faucet) and by using 70% less water on average for washing hands.

I love fun techie gadgets as much as anybody, and it definitely looks futuristic (although I generally like things simpler), but I'm skeptical that it can't always be reliable to use -- shaky hands? Don't scald yourself!

Yin Yang Wading Pool Lavatory

I think bathrooms lend themselves to a sense of peace naturally, if only because of the flowing water and solitude, but this Yin Yang Wading Pool Lavatory from Kohler takes inspiration from seashells and the Chinese symbol for harmony to enhance that feeling even further. It's extremely simple, with a shallow basin that has a slightly raised center to encourage unique water patterns as it flows towards the offset drain. It's all designed to inspire elegance and a sense of balance, which I think it does very well.

Beauty Shower To Be Sold At Barney's

Can a shower head make you look more beautiful? the Methven Satinjet Maia is a multi-functional showerhead that offers a spa-like experience. It is both a facial and a conventional shower as well as a water massager. The Satinjet Maia is equipped with a Vitamin C filter which eliminates chlorine and purifies the water. The faucet will sell for $395 and will be available exclusively at Barney's as of October.

Hansacanyon LED Lit Faucet

LED faucets aren't all that new anymore, but this one has a twist. An open channel at the top, a canyon if you will, adds a bit of modern flair to an already modern idea. The water is lit by LED lights that change from blue to red, depending upon the temperature of the water. The faucet automatically shuts off after 80 seconds and has electronic temperature controls. You may never waste water or scald your hands again. $1553.

The Profil-Lalique Crystal Bath Faucet

The Profil-Lalique Bath Faucet by THG Paris brings a sense of luxury that will never go out of style. It mixes an older more traditional feel with the clean simplicity of modern looks. Designed by Jamie Drake and embedded with 4 pieces of Lalique crystal in each finely crafted handle, keeping a pristinely clean sink is paramount when it features this faucet! As beautiful as it is, I think it's simple enough to look fairly standard and lose most of it's artistic appeal if allowed to get even a few water spots.

Axor Massaud Faucet

Even in the largest bathrooms, space is often a priority. That's why this Hansgrohe faucet which is part of the Axor Massaud line is so appealing. The waterfall faucet does double duty as a shelf. The faucet base is designed by French designer Jean-Marie Massaud to resemble a gently curving blade of grass which contrasts against the geometrical shape of the shelf, forming a counterpoint to the fall of water below.

LED Faucet

I'm not one to really care about appliances - so long as they work, but this has got to be the coolest faucet ever.  There's gold plated ones out there and sinks with in-line advanced filtration and such, but do any of them have LEDs built in that make the water glow?  No, no they don't.  Available in either chrome or brushed stainless, the KWC EVE was designed to be an "emotional experience."  I'm not too sure about emotions, but at your next party, guests will certainly play with this enough to bring up your water bill quite a bit.  The lights are in the head, so that even when you pull it out to rinse things off, the illumination keeps going.  I've decided I need one of these.
