Scratchable Cat Furniture
The problem with cats is that they have a tendency to scratch up your carefully selected rugs and furniture, potentially ruining any style other than shabby chic. The solution is to get a scratching post for Fluffy, but those don't generally make designer's hearts skip a beat, either - with the exception of the Everyday Studio line of scratchable cat furniture from designer Susan Kralovec. There are three designs, all made from triple-wall laminated cardboard with an enamel finish, which comes in one of four colors. We're not going to suggest that you change you decor to suit the scratching post, but it is an option. Especially if your cat already matched the rest of your furniture to a scratching post that wasn't as attractive as this one. Price: $155 ("pounce", pictured)
