Dominick Dunne's Belongings Head To Auction
We've seen two of the late Dominick Dunne's properties go up for sale, now items from both homes are going up for auction through Stair Galleries (the Manhattan apartment has sold, the Connecticut house remains on the market now at just $1.3 million down from $2.1 million). In his years as a reporter, novelist, producer and all-around raconteur, Dunne brushed elbows with many greats both famous and infamous. The auction reflects that with both books (many signed to Dunne by the authors) and an unusual array of objects, including a group of fine Chinese Export porcelain, up for bid. Many pieces in the collection were originally purchased by Mr. Dunne and his late wife for their Beverly Hills house, the scene of legendary parties in the days before the omnipresent paparazzi. The sale also features Hollywood memorabilia and photographs and Dunne's green Jaguar convertible, "Audrey." The auction is on November 20 and previews begin on Friday, November 12th, and run through the morning of the sale on the 20th.
