I'm not sure why clowns are associated with
Easter but the latest creations from La Maison du Chocolat have re-imagined Easter with a circus theme. Their boutiques
are selling these two clown figures plus the Magical Egg which is filled with ganache and praline chocolates. Also in
their boutiques they are selling an Easter dessert of a pistachio biscuit base covered with apricot, chocolate mousse,
a layer of genoise and then brushed with apricot syrup. For those of us not close to a boutique (Paris, London,
New York and Tokyo) they are also selling an egg-shaped box through their online store that is full of chocolates and
and wrapped chocolate eggs filled with praline. The 1.25 pound box sells for
$78.
