Munitio SITi S Titanium Earphones

MUNITIO Titanium EarphonesMunitio earphones just might be the Cadillac of earbuds. Annie Scott called the 18k gold version "double-take worthy" and now I can personally vouch that the SITi S Nine Millimeter Earphones are even more drool-inducing.

Encased in extreme industrial grade titanium for natural noise canceling and beauty as well as its high level of durability and safety (it's the same stuff NASA uses in high performance applications), the earphones feel surprisingly heavy in the hand (a little like actual bullets) but they all but disappear in the ears -- once sizing is adjusted of course. The sound is crisp, deep, and beautiful, which is presumably in large part due to the custom tuned AccousticSoundFlowSystem™, BassEnhancingChamber™, and SiliconeHollowPoints™ technology, as well as the 9mm speaker drivers with rare earth neodymium magnets for superior dynamic range and quick recovery. And it's probably worth mentioning that since I got my review unit they've released a new BLK version that comes with a microphone.

BOQARI Q1 Couture Earbuds

BOQARI Q1 Earbuds
BOQARI is a unique brand aiming to redefine modern day adventure by providing gear that makes living out your dreams possible. My favorite item from their 2010 collection is the new Q1 couture earphones. Available in four different colors they feature industrial chic styling and an all-metal housing handcrafted for optimum acoustics. Technical specs include a finely tuned resonance chamber, wide spectrum titanium drivers, rare earth cobalt magnets, finely spun copper coil and air flow via a laser-cut base port. The outside is finished with a colored satin layer that shows through to the shimmery platinum thanks to a pretty pattern of meticulously cut grooves and facets.

I was able to try a pair of BOQARI Q1 out and found them to be just as attractive in person as they look in the photos, plus they were fun to handle, fit great, and delivered really awesome sound. They also come in a handy, convenient, and tight little zippered carrying case complete with every size earbud tips you can imagine for a perfect fit. $99

Sleek Audio's SA7 Earphones Go Where Your Ears - and Body - Can't

sleek audio sa7 earphones

Sleek Audio has just released its SA7 earbuds, which use all kinds of military grade materials, specs, and jargon to deliver your rather lo-fi iPod tunes to your auditory canal: carbon fiber composite weave, milled aluminum core, titanium plate connector and screws, variable equalization system, and dual ultra-wide band balanced sonic cannons. That's right, sonic cannons.

The two drivers inside are cushioned by silicone, and the structure can withstand 14,000 times the force of gravity. Needless to say, 14,000 Gs is well beyond the point at which you would be unrecognizably dead. But technology doesn't limit itself to puny human boundaries. The pertinent specs: adjustable bass and treble ports, wireless functionality, and the ability to transmit another octave to golden-eared listeners. If your ears are worthy, you'll find them for $400 at Sleek Audio.

DEOS Diamond Headphone Covers

Perfect for any iPod device or iPhone, the DEOS diamond headphone covers add just a bit of bling to your earphone thing. Depending on the diamonds you choose the price can range from $4,500 in black and white to $60,000 when adding colorful diamonds of yellow and pink hues. If you're going to spend thousands to decorate your earbuds, especially more than $5,000, DEOS (Defining Expressions of Sound) is at least willing throw in a complimentary shuffle or iTouch.

iDiamond Ear

Apparently we all can't get enough of diamond earpieces for our mp3 players, because new ones keep popping up. One of the latest is the iDiamond Ear from Norwegian jeweler Heyerdahl Jewelers, and it's being marketed as "the world's most exclusive earphones for commercial sale." The iDiamond Ear is created by dipping Apple earbud headphones in 18k gold and covering them in 204 brilliant cut diamonds. There will be only 1,000 pairs created, which will be numbered and sold exclusively in the Heyerdahl store starting this upcoming February. $6,400

Phillips and Swarovski's Active Crystal Collection

There's always room for more bling in our lives, sometimes in the most unlikely of places. It's not that I haven't seen decked out USB drives before, but I guess I just figure if you're going to go there then do it right and go all out. The Phillips-Swarovski Active Crystal collection definitely goes there, squeezing as many Swarovski crystals as possible onto some very cute electronic gadgets. For USB drives there's the 1 GB "Heart Beat," a two-piece locket style, and the 1 GB "Lock-Out," and retractable padlock shaped one, both of which will sell for $179.

The collection also includes headphones and earbuds with large crystals embedded in each ear piece. Available in 4 different designs they will range in price from $79-$149. The entire line is scheduled to come out this August.

Sennheiser Sport, Street and Style Headphones

I'm in the market for new headphones so the Cool Hunter's post on Sennheiser's Sport line caught my eye. The lime green headphones are sweat and water resistant (perfect for me since I lost a set of earbuds to a rainy jog). They also have magnets so that they can be clipped together. I'd be sold except that the cool metal look of the Style line (alas, not waterproof) is also appealing. The Street line offers more powerful bass due to the Sennheiser Basswind system. Overall there are 17 products in the three lines including several styles of headphones and accessories.  Looks from the other two lines after the jump.
