More Worker Riots In Dubai

Last month, workers caused $1 million in damages at the Burj Dubai, now
there has been another riot in Dubai. This time an AP story says that 2,500 foreign
construction workers protested wages and working conditions at the Dubai
Marina on Wednesday. The workers for the Al-Ahmadiah Contracting company smashed vehicles and machinery at
the site. More than 80 workers, most of them from India, were
later deported. The marina is the site of a wide
variety of projects including the recently announced Dubai Marina
Star.
