Josh Duhamel To Head 2010 Drambuie Pursuit

Whoever chooses the celebrity to head the annual Drambuie Pursuit, a yearly outdoor adventure race in the Scottish Highlands, seems to have an eye for handsome men in need of a little break. Last year's celebrity male was Jerry O'Connell, this year actor Josh Duhamel (who starred in the television series Las Vegas and is married to Black-Eyed Peas singer Fergie) has been announced to take part in the 2010 Drambuie Pursuit, a race which includes speedboat racing, white water rafting, archery and mountain climbing and celebrates the creation of the whisky liqueur.

The 100-mile race course retraces the 1745 journey across the Highlands by Scotland's rebel Bonnie Prince Charlie. In May 2010, 15 international teams of four will compete head to head and Josh Duhamel is currently seeking applicants to join his team.Check out www.PursuitOf1745.com for more information on how to win a place on Team Josh or to sign up your own team of four to compete in the competition.

Drambuie has nabbed another handsome actor for their annual Drambuie pursuit adventure race. The 2008 race had Jerry O'Connell and the 2009 race will feature the charmingly goofy Seann William Scott who is currently starring in the comedy "Role Models". In May 2009, Drambuie will send teams of four to compete in a series of outdoor trials including archery, white-water rafting, dune-buggy racing, and many other challenges across Scotland. Seann William Scott is now seeking to assemble his own team and fans can apply for the chance to join him on this all-expenses-paid trip by visiting www.pursuitof1745.com.

Jerry O'Connell and the Drambuie Pursuit

If your wife has a popular TV show and a busy film career and your own show just got canceled it might just be time to take yourself on an adventure. At least that's what I imagine was Jerry O'Connell's thought process in signing up for the 2008 Drambuie Pursuit. The liqueur company sponsors an interesting competition, a two-day adventure race of ten teams in the Scottish Highlands. It is supposed to symbolize the voyage of Bonnie Prince Charlie for whom the Drambuie elixir was created in 1745. After attempting to take over the British throne, he fled Scotland. The Drambuie Pursuit takes place in April 2008 and includes an archery contest on the first day and then a second day that includes kayaking, a castle run, boating, mountain biking, rock-climbing, rafting, cross-country biking, off-road buggy racing and canoeing. Jerry O'Connell and his three teammates will compete in the 100-mile race across Scotland against the other nine teams who all won contests in various magazine websites including Men's Journal and Penthouse, to be there. It looks like the only thing the winning team wins is honor and the chance to defend the title in the 2009 contest.
