New Wave Line Room Dividers

Is it a work of art or a room divider? Of course it can be both, and what a nice way to combine art and function together in an almost unnoticeable way. Designed by Susan Woods for Aswoon™/Susan Woods Studio and formed by bending plywood, New Wave Line Room Dividers can be custom made in a variety of shapes, sizes, and finishes. In addition to sculpture-like room dividers, New Wave Line also features seating and tables, with one of my favorite items being this Ribbon Float lounge chair.

The room divider pictured is called the Vertical Wave and measures 83" x 37" x 12".

Ultimate Swivel Room Divider

Wall dividers are ideal for separating large spaces into smaller, more manageable areas that are easier to put to use, as well as to decorate. The Ultimate Swivel Room Divider is an amazing piece of furniture that not only allows for a stylish division of space, but also provides something that is more than just decorative. The wall has space for a flat panel TV to be attached on one side or a rotating panel and a shelf/drawer storage system on the other. At the touch of a button, a pneumatic cylinder is activated to rotate the panel. It is made of engineered wood with Java Matte and high-gloss white lacquer finishes. The entire unit measures 96" W x 24" D x 84.5" H. Price: $3,600.

The Most Stunning Room Screens

It's hard to pick the "best" items when it comes to decor because personal tastes can cover such a wide range - not that this stops most list-makers - but when Elle Decor put together their top picks for room screens, they stayed away from the label. They simply called all of their choices stunning, which they are. The screens range from a Pacific island inspired mahogany piece to one made of industrial-looking steel rings and from the expensive to the more affordable. Whether one of their choices will turn out to be the best for you remains to be seen, but they are all certainly worth a look.

Mebel Pivot Screen

Screens are a great way to divide a large space into smaller rooms, or simply create a more private section of an office or bedroom. The Pivot Screen by Mebel Furniture doesn't provide the complete concealment, but it looks far more interesting than completely opaque screens do. The acrylic panels in each of the interlocking tiles - which can be added on to easily to create the desired size for your space - are removable, so you can change the colors and even the degree of transparency as often as you wish. Mebel specializes in using eco-friendly materials and the wood used for all of their pieces comes from certified sources that maintain sustainable forestry practices.

The price of the screen as it is pictured is $3,895, but the total will vary depending on the number and type of tiles, as well as the wood and the color of the stain.
