Peter Som Designs New Bedding Line
Fashion designer Peter Som is bringing his talents to the world of home decor. He is has partnered with luxury linens house Sferra on a new modern collection of bedding linens. Som loves color and prints and so his new collection of bedding takes inspiration from some of his past ready-to-wear collections. The collection will be in stores in March 2011 and is launching with four bedding sets that include sheets, matelassés, quilts, duvet covers, accent pillows and shams. He shows off the bedding in the latest issue of "House Beautiful" magazine.
Home Textiles Today reports that the four styles are: The Chrysanthemum bed, a 100% Italian Egyptian cotton percale printed with large lilac flowers, dotted with greens and blues; the Newport Floral bed an all-over floral print drawn from Som's spring/summer 2007 collection; the Damask bed, a 100% Italian Egyptian cotton percale with a traditional damask pattern and the PS I Love You sheeting with a hand calligraphy message, interconnected to create a lattice-like effect. The line also includes decorative linen pillows in five different designs.
