Dallas Cowboys Helmet To Be Auctioned Off For Salvation Army

3D Pop Artist Charles Fazzino, the Officially Licensed Artist of Super Bowl XLV, has created a unique Dallas Cowboys helmet for a good cause. Fazzino partnered with the Dallas Cowboys to auction off a one-of-a-kind piece of artwork that celebrates the football club's 50th Anniversary season and benefits The Salvation Army.

The silver and blue Dallas Cowboys helmet has been decorated with images that represent key moments in the franchise's history. The piece depicts the three homes of the Dallas Cowboys, the Cotton Bowl, Texas Stadium and Cowboys Stadium and also celebrates members of the Dallas Cowboys Ring of Honor, the players, coaches and front office staff inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame and various other benchmarks from the Dallas Cowboys first 50 years. The artwork also includes the Salvation Army shield. Over the last 13 seasons, the Jones Family, the owners of the Cowboys, has dedicated the Cowboys annual Thanksgiving Day halftime show as a national showcase to kickoff The Salvation Army's annual Red Kettle fundraising campaign. The team's association with network television has spawned a donation of $20 million worth of airtime to present nationally televised entertainment extravaganzas that have created a new holiday tradition. Since 1997, the efforts have helped raise more than $1.3 billion for The Salvation Army, while reaching 30 million people annually. This unique charitable relationship is highlighted during the holiday season, but is sustained throughout the year.

Fazzino's helmet is being auctioned off by Heritage Auction Galleries on December 19, 2010 at 10:00 PM CT.

Football Player Dez Bryant Nearly Loses $50,000 Earring

Apparently Dez Bryant didn't pay attention when Miami Dolphins defensive end Kendall Langford lost a 2.5-carat diamond earring at practice earlier this year. Bryant, who plays for the Dallas Cowboys, wore his diamond earrings during a game between the Cowboys and the New York Giants recently. After a pass he hit the ground with the football and both the ball and the earring got away from him. The diamond stud is said to be worth $50,000 (in the image above, from a different game, you can see just how large the earring is). Bryant completed three catches, 104 yards and one touchdown during the game. Aafter the Cowboys won game, the earring was later found. A security guard recovered the diamond stud and returned it to Bryant in the locker room after the game.

Neiman's Unveils 82nd Christmas Book

Christmas comes early in Dallas. Neiman Marcus has just announced its unveiling of the legendary Christmas Book, full of the rare and exceedingly unusual items that become so many holiday wishlists.

A couple of examples: the entire end zone for you and your friends at a Dallas Cowboy's game, including tailgate party with the Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders, and VIP touches at every turn ($500,000). His-and-hers life-sized Lego sculptures by artist Nathan Sawaya, who claims he can "brickalize" anyone ($60,000 each).

The biggest ticket item in the book? Your own stable of a dozen or so thoroughbreds, trained and managed by Three Chimneys Farm over the next four years. Any race day winnings will be yours, but you'll pay $10,000,000 for the privilege.

Perhaps what Santa hears the most requests for? A Jack Nicklaus-designed golf course. In your backyard. He'll come meet with you, work with his design team to create the course and throw in a bag of clubs, too. Then he'll come play the first round with you and your buddies. For $1,000,000, not including construction.
