Gold Vermeil Bug on a Cuff

Sometimes I write about things because I love them, and sometimes because I hate them but they're just too crazy to pass up. This Shagreen Cuff with Gold Vermeil Bug falls somewhere in the middle. I love cuff bracelets, and usually I go for unusual pieces but this large insect is just a little too creepy -- look at the size of the fangs! Maybe it would work with a goth ensemble?

The cuff, however, is a beautifully textured gray shagreen, and the insect is 14k gold and decorated with rubies, sapphires, green agates, and crystals. $1,450

Lotus Arts de Vivre Serpent Bracelet

A wood cuff is usually a simple and inexpensive jewelry item. Not so when it comes from luxury designers Lotus Arts de Vivre. The ebony wood cuff is topped with a sinuous snake make of oxidized silver with 18K gold trim and set with approximately 13.843 carats of rose-cut diamonds and .484 carats of ruby eyes. The bracelet sells for $27,600.

Tiffany Sevillana Cuff

So simple, so gorgeous. Tons of people have been sporting diamond circle necklace. A more original way to do the O style is this stunning Elsa Peretti Sevillana cuff. An 18K gold bracelet supports a round circle of lapis lazuli. It sells for $5,500. Too pricey? There is also a green jade and silver version (shown after the jump) for $1,300.
