Hastens Creates Pricey Bed To Celebrate Royal Wedding
Filed under: Decor

Want to sleep like royalty? Swedish bedding maker Hastens celebrates Sweden's royal wedding with The Royal Bed. The all-natural mattress sells for $18,000 for a king model and is meant to celebrate the marriage of Crown Princess Victoria to Daniel Westling on June 19. Hastens plans to present a Royal Bed to the royal couple as a gift. The bed is done in blue, white and gold, Crown Victoria's color choices for the wedding and colors associated with Sweden. The legs are oak accented with brushed brass. Each corner of the bed bears a detachable brushed brass crown. The bed is embroidered with gold thread that reads: "Hastens Royal 2010." Furniture Today reports that the bed will be made in limited quantities and offered for sale only through the end of June. The bed is on sale at the 10 Hastens stores in the United States.
