Customizable Kids Furniture from Muu

baby furniture
I love items you can customize with your own flair but Muu's Sam Collection not only offers a self-designed panel when purchased but that same panel can be changed out for future inhabitants or changes in color schemes for just $90 in the future! You choose the design, color and personal message/name to complete the panel which is incorporated into a white wooden piece with a solid maple base. The 'Sam Crib' ($1,175) is also convertible into a twin bed as Junior grows and available with other necessary accessories such as a nightstand ($449), dresser ($1,125), or storage unit ($495) each of which can also be customized.

Golden Cradle Studded with Diamonds, Rubies, and Emeralds

Wow, way back in the 18th century they really knew how to bling things up. And unlikely things too, like this baby's cradle. Covered in gold and set with more than 2,000 gems including diamonds, rubies, and emeralds, it's currently on display in Tokyo at a special exhibit that includes about 140 other antique treasures from the Ottoman Empire (which came before the Republic of Turkey). The items will be on display through September 24th in honor of the birth of Prince Hisahito to the Japanese Emporer's son Prince Akishino and his wife Princess Kiko (got that straight?). No word on what the cradle's valued at, although since it isn't for sale I guess it's more about admiring it's gaudy beauty than hoping to get one for yourself.

Cotton Monkey Bedding

Cotton Monkey Bedding is a line of linens made from 100% certified organic cotton, grown without any pesticides or chemicals, and is finished with wool batting that is not treated with formaldehyde or bleach and is antimicrobial. Only non-toxic dyes are used. The result of all this is that the bedding is ultra-soft and as safe as can be for a baby's sensitive skin. They make sheets, quilts, crib bumpers and throw blankets, and you can mix and match the various patterns they offer. A full Cotton Monkey set, which will outfit a crib completely, is $704.
