Jenna Jameson's Couch On eBay

Filed under: Decor, Auctions, Celebrity Shopping

If Jenna Jameson's house (still on the market at $2.7 million) is out of your price range, you could pick up her couch this week on eBay. Jameson, who is expecting twins with fighter Tito Ortiz, has listed her beige silk Casa Armani couch with a minimum bid of $9,500. The listing says that the original purchase price was at least double what it is being auctioned for and they promise free shipping to those in the Los Angeles area. The auction ends November 30.

The "Pantonova" Chrome Sectional Couch

Generally when I think of sectional seating a large, overly plush couch with too many throw pillows and a 90 degree angle comes to mind, the kind you sink into and can't get up out of without a helping hand. The "Pantonova" couch is something else altogether though, made of chrome steel it consists of 4 pieces that fit together to form a very cool looking (and also very uncomfortable looking) 74" sofa. Designed in 1971 it still looks modern and contemporary, and although cushions aren't included (you can ask about getting them though, for an additional charge) I think you would definitely need them (sitting on this couch without them brings to mind the infamous "waffle print thighs" that result from certain types of lawn furniture). $5,000

The Star System Collection

Bright vibrant hues are totally in this season on the fashion front and if you want to translate the look over to your home decor also then a few pieces from the Star System collection would do the trick. Featuring candy colors in solid shades of orange, blue, purple, fuchsia, and white the set includes 4 versions from the small one-seater Starlet to the full-fledged Superstar. The "stars" are created with removable steel buttons (why would you want to remove them?) and the whole look is, to me, a combination of relaxed and in-your-face. Very glamorous.

Misfits Modular Sofa

This is one bright purple couch! The Misfits Modular Sofa both looks like something out of a cartoon and acts like something out of a cartoon with its many shapes and configurations. It consists of corner and central elements along with two footstools, all of which can be arranged pretty much however you want. According to Unica Home the sofa elements "look natural as if shaped by wind and sea," but in my opinion they look more as if shaped by a Muppet. Although I do like it I don't think I could ever take it seriously! It really looks like like something meant to play on, not to relax and have an adult conversation on. Designed by Ron Arad the pieces are sold separately for $3,489 - $7,235.

Elite Home Theater Seating Cuddle Couch

One of the benefits of having your own home theater is that you don't have to follow the rules of being out at the cinema. You can talk, use your cellphone, bring in all sorts of snacks and rest your feet on the chair in front if you prefer. But for the most part you can't quite sprawl out or cozy up like you can in the living room because of the restrictions of home theater chairs. Elite Theater has solved that problem with a home theater seat called the cuddle couch. The two-seater couch has a cupholder on either side and comfortable pillows. It is available in fabric or leather and starts at $2495.

Trevor O'Neil's "Dulce de Leche Divan"

It sounds like a dessert, but the Dulce de Leche Divan by Trevor O'Neil is a contemporary sofa that's both stylish and eco-friendly. Made of recycled cork and birch, this sofa is simple and contemporary in design. Besides neutral/natural colors (it looks almost unfinished) clean lines with rounded soft edges make this an inviting seat, although with no back it's probably not the best for real relaxing -- sit up straight! Only available in the one color scheme, and notice the handy built-in end tables on either side. $5,800

Lund, by Dot Kite Lab and Thomas Mylonas

Dot Kite Lab has an array of modern designs, but their latest furniture creation is Lund, a contemporary seating element somewhere between a chair and a sofa. Designer Thomas Mylonas combined clean lines, organic forms, and perfect proportions to create a nice feeling I would describe as casual modern luxury. It's upholstered in high-quality fabric in a pale but sophisticated pattern, and the seat backs (adjustable?) are complete with head rests reminiscent of an automobile (in a good way). Definitely a unique look, and for some reason I'm really curious if it's firm, or springy, to sit on?

Thanks Thomas!

A Couch To Faint For

I've always had a the recamier, the curved couch built perfectly for a languid swoon. This fainting couch shown in maple and pale green satin was designed by Steve Holman, who made those gorgeous Valentine chairs we saw in February. The couch can be customized with different woods and fabrics. Prices start at $20,000. You can check out Holman's work along with work from other Vermont Studio artisans at the Architectural Digest Home Design Show in New York from March 8-11.

Damier Adjustable Sofa

You probably already know that we like to play with our furniture, given our love for all things modular, and the Damier Adjustable Sofa suits us perfectly. The sofa is made up of four, square modules, each with two individual articulated elements that can be flexed up and down to create the ideal seating situation. The sofa has thick polyurethane padding over a chrome-plated steel frame and is upholstered in ultra-soft black leather. Each of the square units, which can be used together or spread throughout a room, measures 101" square and is 12.25" high when flat. Price: $24,105.

Slide Sofa

The Slide Sofa gets its name from the fact that the back cushions can slide around on the sofa's wooden frame, providing the user with a degree of flexibility that most other couches don't offer. The drawback would be that not all sides of the couch would be cushioned at any one time, but as long as you're more likely to want a table-like place to set a drink down than to squash five people onto a sofa, you shouldn't have any problems with this design. It measures 79"w x 37"d x 24"h. Price: $4,985.

Fahza Sofa

It's helpful to think of sectionals as modular sofas that just happen to fit together in usually only one precise way. At least, it's helpful if you want to use the trendy label to increase the price of the piece. The Fahza Sofa doesn't resort to that trick, but based on the fact that the manufacturer doesn't want the pricing posted online, we can assume that they probably don't need to. The shape is very similar to that of a comma when fully assembled with both the "armless chair" and the "1-arm love seat" attached to the main body of the couch. It is available in leather or microfiber, in black or red.

Omni Sofa

Designer Karin Rashid came up with the modular Omni Sofa, envisioning a seating arrangement where friends could gather in a comfortable, intimate way to chat and hang out. Of course, because the five pieces are separate, they can be put into any arrangement, even set up around the house as five separate chairs. If you are committed to separating the pieces, they can be ordered individually as opposed to in a set.

Don't be put off by the color. In addition to hot pink, it comes in a wide array of colors, including white, black, chocolate brown, violet, dark red, slate grey and blue, as well as many others. It is also available in ultrasuede, doro suede and fabric upholstery. Price, as pictured in pink ultrasuede: $16,200.

Morpheo Sofa Bed

If you really like your furniture to multi-task, the Morpheo Sofa Bed is at least as useful as the Sleepy Working Bed from Alessi that we saw a few days ago. Although it doesn't have integrated dat/power points or variously attached desks, it still a hard-working piece. It looks vaguely futuristic, especially because of the attached lights, which seem to grow directly from the corners of the sofa. The plush seat folds out into a bed, too. The sofa measures 83"W x 40"D x 50"H and is available in three fabric colors: green, red and black.

Price: $5,400.

Orbit Lounge

There is not much detail to describe the Orbit Lounge, but a picture is more than enough in this case. The system is made up of five differently shaped pieces that can be lined up to create any design of seating arrangement in any size you might possibly need. Two pieces could be arranged to make a modular couch or a warehouse could be filled with snake-like seating before being turned into a nightclub. Use your imagination and you'll only be limited by how much you want to spend. As pictured, the system costs $19,386, but because each section is sold individually, the price will radically vary by design.
