Georgia Contemporary, Estate of the Day

Imagine walking through the tranquil Georgia woods and coming upon this modern home. One of the good things about having a lot of acreage is that you can have glass walls and not worry about your privacy. This home located ten minutes from downtown Newnan, Georgia (around an hour from Atlanta) is on a 200 acre farm that includes both a 20 acre stocked lake and 10 acre pond. The three-bedroom home has a family room, library/office, and a screened-in porch that juts away from the house and toward the water. This home is listed at $6.5 million.

Newport Beach, Estate of the Day

Today's home on the bay in Newport Beach, California doesn't have a lot of land or oodles of space but the contemporary style and open floor plan make it a dream bachelor pad. The home has two bedrooms plus loft space. Folding doors open out onto a waterfront terrace next to the boat dock. The home also includes commercial space with a separate entrance and parking. The downstairs has fabulous built-in shelves. The magic hasn't quite spread to the upstairs which seems rather banal. It is listed at $4.995 million. After the jump, bring your books!

Bozeman Contemporary, Estate of the Day

There's just something about a modern structure in a rustic setting that I found absolutely mesmerizing. This concrete and glass home in Montana is a step away from the usual Western architecture we usually see in the region. This home is in the Cottonwood Ranch gated community but is located high in the trees and offering expansive views of mountains and forest without another home in sight. The home itself is a bit chillier than the usual log walls and stone fireplaces of many Montana homes but it serves as a dramatic framework for the current owner's expansive art collection. It is listed at $4 million. After the jump, western goes modern.
