Major Monet Exhibit Set To Open In Paris

As plenty of art auctions and museum shows have proven, The work of Impressionist Claude Monet remains wildly popular. The Galeries nationales du Grand Palais in Paris is hosting the largest Monet retrospective in Paris for thirty years from September 22, 2010 – January 14, 2011. The exhibit will feature around 200 pieces including both famous works and little known paintings. This fall the Gallerie Nationales du Grand Palais in Paris will host an exhibit of Renoir's 20th century works. Touted as the first monographic study of Renoir since 1985, it will focus on the paintings from his last decades after he bid adieu to formal impressionism.
