The Erich Ginder Ghost Tree

What really cracks me up about this Erich Ginder Ghost Tree is the title description it gets on the website: "Rubber coated cast resin tree coat rack." Could it sound any uglier? I doubt it.

But in reality I really like it. It's simple, understated, and the name "Ghost Tree" makes it a little mysterious and melancholy. It's available in white or black, and although you can get other custom colors I'm not sure what else it would look good in except maybe gray. A rubber coated resin tree just can't pull off that many colors and stay cool, you know?

Big 5 Coat Rack

The Big 5 Coat Rack gets its name from the five large knobs that make up the design. Mounted on a structural frame which screws onto the wall, the knobs come in four colors. The plate will look best and the least conspicuous on a white wall, where the colors of piece will be highlighted easily when the rack is not in use. Another advantage over a tradition stand coat rack is that it takes up far less space in the room and might even be mistaken for a modern art installation by unsuspecting guests. And there is nothing to stop you from telling them that it is a piece of modern art by designer James Irvine - it's just functional art. Price: $250.
