This fabulous, gothic, gold leather masterpiece is 6"W X 3½"H X 2"D, just the perfect size to fit delicately over your fingers and make you look like a badass. You'll feel like a badass, too, as you fish around inside its black leather lining for your lipstick and, presumably, your ninja stars.

Reece Hudson's Oversized Clutch ($1020) is understated yet classically beautiful. Jimmy Choo has done this style many different ways and this time we have the Candy Acrylic Clutch made of marbled caramel acrylic with ridged details. It's a hard-box clutch style but is lined in soft gold leather and satin for a little comfort and a nice contrast (for the user anyway) and the long gold shoulder chain can be tucked inside for extra versatility. Asymmetrical lines and a slim profile make for an uber-modern vibe that would be great paired with animal prints or anything studded. Eden Peony Satin Clutch, Handbag of the Day

I'm digging this Eden Peony Satin Clutch by Christian Louboutin for its brilliant blend of winter white and springtime floral elements. The base is a hard spherical clutch covered in satin and featuring ruffled floral grosgrain ribbon embellishments along the top third, running along the opening seam. You can see the little red-soled Louboutin shoes by the clasp fastening closure and there's also an oversized knot and tassel dangling off the bottom. The gold chain strap is extendable and the interior is lined in red satin. Some say this is a bridal style but I think it would be a great partner to your favorite LBD. $1,325

Nancy Gonzalez Crocodile Long Clutch, Handbag of the Day

Things are going uber-vibrant this spring and Nancy Gonzalez is hopping on board with both feet with this Crocodile Long Clutch design. Reminiscent of a pencil case it's obviously very long but it's also quite shallow and measures a grand total of 13" long by 5" tall by 2" deep. Aside from what seems to be Nancy's favorite crocodile leather it has no other features, straps, dangles, or embellishments except a high-gloss finish, a magnetic top fastening, and an equally bright pink suede lining with a skinny little interior pouch pocket. $1,200

Looking like a little piece of wall art, or perhaps a little piece of wall with art on it, this Diane von Furstenberg Philomena Studded Snake Print Leather Clutch is designed as a large, thin pocket that zips closed on top and then folds over/in half and has a magnetic fastener to keep it "closed." No, it's not a gigantic chocolate bar, it's the Metallic Wine Kidskin Bardot Clutch by Kelly Locke. Presumably in real life it looks less like edible confectionary and more like a geometric fashion statement and I expect it gives off both modern-day classic and edgy rocker vibes. Made of kidskin it features a grid pattern of three dimensional pyramid embellishments with nickel grommets in between, fold-over flap styling, stitched edges, and an Italian black suede lining. Each one is made to order in the USA, $650.

Gucci Broadway Crystal Silk-Satin Clutch, Handbag of the Day

We just had a big snowstorm where I live so it's no wonder that when looking at this Broadway Crystal-Embellished Silk-Satin Clutch by Gucci I see ice and snowflakes. Of course it's beautiful and can be carried any number of ways (like Net-a-Porter's suggestion to pair it with an emerald dress) but to me it looks like something a winter princess might carry to an icicle ball. Fold-over styling is embellished with taupe silk-satin multi-sized iridescent crystals, it has stitch detailing around the edges and no shoulder strap. It closes via hidden magnet and, in a reversal of the usual norm, has leather on the inside in the form of a smooth cream-colored lining. $2,190
