Justin Bieber Auctions Off Clothing For A Good Cause

justin bieberGiven the craze for Justin Bieber, I'm surprised that the prices for the auction of clothing, shoes and accessories he wore aren't higher. Clothes Off Our Backs is auctioning off the tween dream's gear including a pair of Muska Skytop II burgundy Supra sneakers he wore while on a golf course, red 511 Levi's skinny jeans worn by singer Justin Bieber at the 2010 Capital Radio SUmmertime Ball and black American Apparel T-shirts worn at a photo shoot. The shirt shown at right carried a bid of $50 last time I checked (size extra small). The auction ends December 20, just in time to make a few Bieber fans' Christmas dreams come true.

Proceeds from the auction benefit Pencils of Promise, a non-profit organization that partners with local communities to build schools and increase educational opportunities in the developing world. Check out Bieber mentioning Pencils of Promise in his recent interview with Barbara Walters after the jump.

Bid On Sofia Vergara's Emmy Dress

Just about everyone swooned for Sofia Vergara of ABC's "Modern Family" when she walked the Emmy Awards red carpet on Sunday. Vergara looked like an award herself in a pale yellow Carolina Herrera strapless gown embellished with gold and silver sequin detail. She teamed up with hair care brand Suave Professionals to let America choose her red carpet hairstyle for the evening and her classic glamour girl curls were chosen by votes and styled by Suave Professionals Celebrity Stylist Jenny Cho.

Sofia's entire award show style (sans jewels of course) – the dress and the Suave Professionals products used to create the winning look are up for bid through Clothes Off Our Backs, the charity that auctions off celebrity items for good causes. Proceeds from the auction benefit Clothes Off Our Back's charities including Feeding America, Malaria No More, Hope North, AbilityFirst, Villa Esperanza and Alex's Lemonade Stand. The auction ends September, 13, 2010 and bidding starts at $1,000.

Custom Corsets For a Cause

Give a celebrity a corset and a cause and you get a wide variety of results. Some go basic but some go really crazy. Of the all auctions where celebs get to decorate something, the Frederick's of Hollywood Custom Corset auction for Clothes Off Our Backs seems to bring out creative side of the most celebs. This is the fourth year of the auction and the charities benefitted are the America's Second Harvest (the nation's largest charitable hunger-relief organization), The Art of Elysium (which enriches the lives of artist and critically ill children) and World Education (focusing on girls' scholarship programs in Africa). The six shown above are Kim Kardashian, Sarah Michelle Gellar and Virginia Madsen on the top row and Andy Garcia, Debra Messing and Gabrielle Union on the bottom row. So far Gabrielle Union's Fire and Ice bustier has garnered the most bids. The auction ends November 12.

Own Your Own Celebrity Seat

Filed under: Decor, Auctions, Celebrity Shopping

Clothes Off Our Backs often auctions off the clothing, shoes and accessories that celebrities wear to special events like the Emmy Awards and the Oscars. This year, they've taken the own-what-a-celeb-has-touched auction one step further. Instead of owning something just one celebrity touched, you can sit on the very velvety tuffet where many celeb hindquarters have rested. They are auctioning off the pouf that was the centerpiece in the 2006 Architectural Digest Greenroom at the Emmy Awards. The pouf is covered in coral velvet with silver-leafed moldings and a silver-gilt wood finial and proceeds benefit the emergency relief efforts in Darfur, Children's Defense Fund and Cure Autism Now. No bids last time I checked...
