ECCO World Class GTX - Serious Luxury Golf Shoes

ECCO has released one of their most luxurious collections of mens' golf shoes ever: The ECCO World Class GTX Golf Shoes (right, $450.00).

Though those sharp soles look like they're made of solid wood, the ECCO World Class GTX Golf Shoes are actually the only leather-soled shoes offered by any major manufacturer. And don't worry, that leather is fully waterproof; it's a GORE-TEX leather wrap. Durable polyurethane (the material used to make superballs, which won't break down over time) comprises the the inside of these comfortable, attractive soles.

These elegantly cleated shoes are lined in ECCO's Second Skin Lining, which wicks moisture away from the feet. A removable insole provides comfort and climate control.

The ECCO World Class GTX Golf Shoes are currently available in combinations of brown, white and black, and are also being released in limited edition colors including purple (see gallery), metallic red and silver.

It must be because David Beckham is moving to Los Angeles to play in MLS for the LA Galaxy, because I can't think of another reason why some fancy soccer cleats would otherwise be exciting for a nonsoccer player (albeit a soccer fan). The hummel 8.4 PIO FGX football boots were designed by Richard Kuchinsky to offer superior performance, comfort and looks to players. The insoles of the shoes, which will be released in limited quantities, custom mold to the players' feet using heat. Externally, the outsole is designed for ultimate precision and grip of the ground. The upper is made of white goat leather that has been laser-etched with a Monogram Bee logo pattern in gold.

Dirk Bikkembergs Ladies World Cup Shoes

These shoes are inspired by soccer cleats - to the point where they even have four removable studs on the heel. That may seem a little extreme, but for a soccer fan, especially during the World Cup, any way of getting into the spirit is a good one. Designed by Dirk Bikkembergs, his Ladies World Cup Shoes are ultra sporty in durable blue and green leather. Included are four additional studs, in the event that one gets broken as you cheer your favorite team to (hopefully) victory. Price (on sale) $195.
