$2M Chinese Vase
A 20-inch high blue and white Yuan Dynasty vase fetched over $2
million at a Christie's auction during New York's Asian art week. The 14th-century vase attracted the attention of
numerous bidders who drove the final price tag up to double its original estimate of $1 million. The striking
vase was in pristine condition and is thought to have been a commission for a person of great importance. It was sold
to a private buyer.
