British singer Cheryl Cole has a unique tie-in with her new single, "Promise This." Last week was at the launch party for "Promise", a design collaboration with jeweler, Fawaz Gruosi, the founder of de Grisogono. The first piece from her new capsule collection is a rose gold and blackened silver ring that spells out the word "Promise" with a heart-like "m." The ring is designed to be worn on the pinky finger. It sells for 920 euros (approximately $1,270). At the Cannes Film Festival this summer, the company paid Cole £250,000 for a 30-minute performance. Several of Cole's Girls Aloud bandmates showed up to support her at the event which was the first appearance she made in several months after suffering a bout of malaria.
It's a far cry from Ivanka's pricey diamonds but Melania said in a press release that she is proud to debut her "collection of premium, affordable timepieces and jewelry and make it available to millions of women across the country. " Watches in the collection are inspired by streets in her three favorite cities: New York, Paris and Palm Beach. The idea is that those who watch QVC might aspire to Melania's life as the wife of a wealthy jetsetter and can grab their own little luxury. For a look at some of the pieces check out Stylelist's interview with Melania. The news follows the recent QVC announcement that it was partnering with the Smithsonian Institution on a line of jewelry based on pieces in the Smithsonian collection.
