Elton John Cleans Out His Closet
There are many
legendary celebrity closets we'd like to poke around it but perhaps none as eclectic as that of flamboyant star Elton
John. Sir Elton John and his husband David Furnish will be holding a a five-day public sale of
select items from their closets. The sale will take place April 11-15 at Rockefeller Center in New York. One
hundred percent of the proceeds will benefit the Elton John AIDS Foundation. The
event includes nearly 10,000 pieces of clothing and accessories from a wide variety of designers including Versace,
Louis Vuitton, Prada, Gucci, Dior by Hedi Slimane and many more. Some of the clothes have been worn a few times, others
still have the tags on them. Stage pieces are expected to bring in thousands of dollars but there are many
inexpensive items for sale as well.
