Despite her recent public apology Sharon Stone's comments about her belief that the earthquake in China is possibly linked to "bad karma" haven't finished causing her embarrassment yet. Now she's losing her advertising gig with Dior over the incident as they've issued their own apology for Sharon's comments and are pulling her from their suddenly very unpopular Chinese advertising campaigns.

It's amazing how fast things can change, considering Sharon was previously fairly well-received in China and is now considered by them to be "the public enemy of all mankind." That's never good.

Nicole Richie may be a new mom to little Harlow Winter but she isn't slowing down when it comes to new business ventures. Her newest endeavor is launching her own line of costume jewelry. She's working with an artist named Shelley Gibbs and jewelry maker Mouawad (the same company that produces Heidi Klum's jewelry line) and seems really happy with how easy the process has been and how flexible everyone has been in working with her new parental responsibilities.

Richie isn't stopping at jewelry, either. Stay tuned for her new fragrance and children's clothing line coming out soon too.

Luther Vandross passed away back in 2005, and what remains of his estate will be going up for auction next month. He was well known for his individual taste and among the many many items up for sale there's no shortage of things for the kitchen. Place settings, serving dishes, wine goblets, and champagne flutes name a few -- all with brand names like Tiffany, Baccarat, and Lalique. He also had a lot of art deco items, Gianni Versace coats, and art geodes. Quite the interesting collection!

Of course there's much more going up on the block including his jewelry, books, rugs, a even an old massage chair. The auction will take place on December 5th and 6th in Morris Plains, NJ by Dawson and Nye.

One of the ultimate compliments that can be paid to a product is a seal of approval from one of the most influential women alive: Oprah Winfrey. Getting on her "Oprah's Favorite Things" list has got to be a nice feeling and a nice boost for sales -- even for already well-established brands and products. It must be nice for Oprah to have people so interested in sharing her personal preferences in everything from electronics to cupcakes that it warrants a whole show. and (generous spirit that she is) she of course gave all these goodies to one lucky live audience in Macon, Georgia. When money is no object it's always interesting to see what people choose as far as living arrangements go, and obviously money is no object for Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt. So what did they choose? According to The New York Post they've landed at The Waldorf Towers in New York City. The 6,000 sq ft luxury apartment includes 6 bedrooms, an enormous kitchen, multiple terraces with sweeping views of the city, room service, maid service, and a 24hr concierge.

And perhaps more valuable to the couple than anything is the fact that the new $100,000 per month pad is close to both the United Nations (where Jolie is a goodwill ambassador) and their son Maddox's private French school.

Nicole Ritchie's very cute cap is from designer Eugenia Kim. The fitted cap is modeled after a newsboy style, with a fitted body and a small brim. We first heard about Cher's yard sale back in August, where a $1-1.5 million dollar estimate was given for over 700 items from her home that were to be sold at the Beverly Hilton. The event took place this week and far exceeded the original estimate, taking in more than $3.5 million. Lindsay Lohan was leaving Heathrow Airport on Thursday when she noticed that her orange Hermes Birkin bag was missing. The bag itself might have gotten only a moment or two of mourning from the young celebrity, but the theft is now under investigation by Scotland Yard because that bag contained about $1 million worth of jewelry. Lindsay left it on her luggage trolley and must have turned away just long enough for someone to snag it. She is asking for the return her things, but given the value of the items taken, it seems unlikely that the thief will comply.
