Trek Wine Karafe

Okay, this makes me want to bust out laughing -- who needs to lug wine around in a portable aluminum carafe like a bottle of water? Wine is hardly good for drinking while exercising, and for a picnic you could just bring the bottle... am I missing something here? I must be, because this Trek Wine Carafe is a real product that's for sale over at Sahalie. Advertised as perfect for taking "to the office, to town, or on a hike," the Wine Karafe is just the right size to hold a 750ml bottle of wine and is made of lightweight stainless steel that promises to leave the contents "clean and fresh tasting," with no added chemical or residue flavors. Could make an interesting gift for a wine lover, $24.95

Hand-Crafted Wine Carafe with Glass Inside

Next time you're in need of a unique gift for somebody that loves wine consider if they have one of these Wine Carafes with a wine glass snuggled inside -- I'm guessing they won't but would love to. Mouth-blown and hand-crafted carefully from a single piece of glass in Romania (how interesting would that be to watch?), obviously no two end up exactly alike. Very simple and classical in design, with no color or patterns to distract from the silhouette. Dishwasher safe (surprisingly), 12"x3.25", $95.

Hargreave Carafe with Glass

Carafes, like decanters, are usually items that are sold separately from the glass ware that they will be used with, but the Hargreave Carafe not only comes with a matching glass, but the two actually fit together. This makes a lovely presentation at the breakfast table, where you can put out an individual carafe for each guest to pour from, and makes it easy to store whatever is left over, since it is easily covered by the (cleaned) cup to prevent anything unwanted from drifting into the container. The carafes are made in Denmark and come in lime, blue and pink. Price: $220.

Hermes Crystal Carafe and Tumblers

The Hermes Crystal Carafe has a beautiful design and is perfect for serving your favorite liquor or even something as simple as orange juice at a relaxing brunch. There is no question that Hermes meant this carafe as a way to spoil yourself because it comes with only one matching tumbler. Both the carafe and tumbler have the Hermes logo embossed on the side. Made of crystal, each piece is quite solid, but finely crafted with the precision and attention to detail that Hermes is known for. In a very slightly different style, Hermes also makes Carafe/Tumbler sets in Amber and Amber Satine, which has a brushed, opaque finish. All sets are $395.
