Captain Lord Mansion Offers Free Rooms To Breast Cancer Survivors

Filed under: Luxury Travel & Hotels, Charity

Last year they helped honor mothers, this year, Kennebunkport, Maine's Captain Lord Mansion's co-owners Bev Davis and Rick Litchfield are helping celebrate breast cancer survivors. In support of breast cancer research, the Captain Lord is running a contest that will reward a breast cancer survivor with a free stay during the weekend of November 19-21.

The promotion is part of the bed & breakfast's Dime for Time program that donates a dime to the American Cancer Society for every guest who spends a night. Even better, it multiplies that dime by the number of times the guest has ever stayed there – so if a repeat customer has been there seven times before, the Captain Lord will donate 70 cents. The Dime for Time campaign was created in honor of the sister of Captain Lord Mansion co-owner, Bev Davis, who died of breast cancer.

To enter the giveaway, breast cancer survivors need to describe their stories on the Captain Lord Facebook page, and send an e-mail to innkeeper@captainlord.com before September 1. You can only write 100 words or less on Facebook, but your e-mailed entry isn't limited. Other fans of the page will help choose who should win the weekend, which will be part of the resort's celebration of breast cancer survival. Follow the link to find out more, and best of luck to all of you survivors.
