Embers Massage Candle

Soy candles seem to be getting more and more popular, but jummyjane's Embers Candles offer s unique feature that most other candles do not. They are made with cosmetic-grade wax that has a low melting point and can be poured off of the candle and used as a massage oil. Price: $48.

Champagne Candle and Ice Bucket

Giving everyone their own bottle of champagne at a New Year's party, or any party, is a cute idea, but not necessarily a classy one if you're aiming for an elegant evening. A stylish substitute is to give everyone his or her own champagne bottle candle, perhaps tucked into a miniature ice bucket. These little bottles are $10 each and stand 7.75" high. Until you notice the small gold wick extending from the top, they look just like real, albeit small, bottles of bubbly. The WSS Champagne Bucket is $60. It stands 4" high and perfect for holding one of these champagne candles, although it could be used for other decorative displays or even for serving snacks at a party.

Lugano Candelabra

Give us a modular piece of decor, be it shelving, furniture sets, sofas or flooring, and we will be a very well satisfied group. Well satisfied, that is, until we come across another piece that we love and at the moment, that piece is the Lugano Candelabra. The candelabra is made up of four modular candlesticks that can be used as a group in a variety of different combinations, but can also be used individually or in pairs. Each cast metal candleholder has a polished nickle finish and measures 3" x 3" x 10". The set includes four smokeless, dripless ivory candles. Price: $98.

Mistic Candleholder/Vase

While the Mistic Candleholder/Vase looks a bit busy in this picture, in person it is simplicity itself. The vase is made out of seven delicate, intertwining glass tubes that blend in with the background much more easily when not placed up against a white background, as they are here. Each of the tubes can serve as a vase, preferably for long-stemmed flowers, and with the use of a set of Mistic Candle Cups ($80), it can become a candelabra. You can even arrange a combination of flowers and candles with it, which is not something that can be done with most candleholders. It measures 17.7" W x 10" H. Price: $500.

DL & Co. Claw Candle Holder

DL & Co.'s Claw Handle Holder is unique, to say the least. The creepily gothic porcelain piece is a "chalice perched atop a flower, sprouting from a branch, which is placed atop the shape of a pheasant's foot." It's intriguing, but might make a better Halloween decoration than everyday accessory - unless the room you need to access0rize is your secret lair. It is available in both white and black. Price: $150.

Rectangular Bronze Pillar Candle Chandelier

This Rectangular Bronze Pillar Candle Chandelier is different from the Palazzo T4 Chandelier in a number of ways, though they both are lit by candles. Most obviously, this is a bronze piece, not an acrylic one, but primary difference is that the candles are on this fixture are artificial. They are randomly shaped to mimic the look of real pillar candles, but the whole thing is wired with electric lights. This means that you never have to swap out candles or worry about fire safety, though you won't get the slight flickering warmth of a real flame, either. Price: $659.

Travel with Trapp Candles

Filed under: Decor, Luxury Travel & Hotels

Get away from it all without ever leaving your desk with the Trapp Gardens of the World candles. Each candle has a scent that is formulated to evoke the defining scent of a particular destination with the help of native herbs, spices and flowers. The France candle is romantic, with rose, a bit of citrus and undertones of jasmine, lily and honey, while the India candle is spicy and features citrus, lotus, woods and musk. There are also less traditionally scented candles, like the Mexico candle, which has the scents of tomato, green herbs and roses. They are $25 each.

The Manolo Candle

Fashion sites recently buzzed with the news that the illustrious Manolo Blahnik wasn't completely happy with the "Sex and the City" phenomenon that led to his shoes having increased name recognition. Apparently the fact that most people now know his name is somehow offensive to him as he has been quoted as saying that the show led to a vulgarization of his name. Manolo is not above using his own name for increased profit, now, for fans of the shoe there is a Manolo candle. What does Manolo smell like? It has notes of fig, ivy, violet, chocolate and musk. The candle which comes in a brushed glass holder with a big black Manolo logo on it. The mineral wax candle sells for $75. Ironically this type of lower-priced Manolo offering could be a big hit with the "vulgar" hordes he decries who can't spend a few hundred dollars on shoes but still want something with the Manolo name.
