Chocouture Diamond Collection

They aren't diamonds but the 24k gold and diamond chocolates in the Chocouture Diamond Collection do feature edible gold leaf. The candy diamond is made out of sugar and set in a chocolate that is made with a single-malt Scotch ganache. Each gemlike candy is set in glassine paper inside the faux leather box. These candies sell for $105 for 16 pieces.

Barney's Gumdrop Tree

If you don't want to deal with putting up a large Christmas tree, or if your kids live in apartments, dorms or other places that are short on space, the Gumdrop Tree at Barney's is a cute way to introduce the holiday spirit without introducing the need for cleaning up pine needles. It stands 16.5 inches high and is decked out with multi-colored spiced gumdrops, all sparkling with a sugary coating. It is inadvisable to try and string lights on this tree, but it does have the advantage of being edible, ensuring that the season will be a sweet one. Price: $88.

Jin Patisserie Chocolates

The delicate and ever-so-slightly strange chocolates of Jin Patisserie are now available online so that the rest of the country can enjoy what Los Angeles has been buzzing about for a few years. The small cafe offers cakes, cookies and afternoon tea from a quaint storefront in Venice, California. Owner Kristy Choo brings an obsessive sense of detail and a passion for edible art to all her unique creations . Her chocolates are elegantly decorated little squares packed with flavors like sea salt caramel, lemon grass, black roasted sesame, lychee and chrysanthemum. A box of 20 chocolates in a silk-lined box which highlights their jewel-like quality sells for $55.
