Gorilla Fingers Cigars

The easy winner for most unappealing cigar name to come out of this year's RTDA convention in Las Vegas is the Gorilla Fingers cigar. The Gorilla Fingers cigars were created by Lars Tetens and have a Cameroon wrapper, aged Ecuadorian binder and Dominican-grown filler leaves and are infused with Courvoisier Cognac. The tobaccos are all aged three to eight years. The cigars are five inches and a massive 60 ring gauge. Each Gorilla Finger comes in a resealable humidor bag with a humidification sponge and protective insert. They sell for a suggested retail price of $14.95 each.

Camacho Select Cigars

Camacho has begun shipping their latest cigar, the Camacho Select. They call it the best wrapped Cameroon cigar ever made. The cigar was created by Julio Eiroa, the father of Camacho President Christian Eiroa. The cigar was developed as a private project and hasn't gone into regular production. There are only 400 boxes of 20 cigars, four each of five sizes (a Lonsdale, Robusto, Super Robusto, Churchill and Torpedo). The cigar has a Honduran-grown binder and filler and has a medium-to-full body. The Stogie Fresh Journal gave the cigar high marks for its spicy and robust flavor.

La Aurora Preferidos 2006 Cigars

The La Aurora factory is the oldest in the Dominican Republic. The top of the line from La Aurora is the Preferidos. The Preferidos Limited Edition 2006 Cameroon uses a Cameroon leaf wrapper with Dominican fillers. This cigar is medium-bodied and production is limited to 25,000 cigars, with 1,000 boxes destined for the retail market. The cigar is only available as a 5” x 50 Robusto and a box of 25 sells for $300.
