Ether Chandelier

The Ether Chandelier is a stunning cascade of crystal glass bubbles falling from a polished steel disc. The disc houses four 75W halogen bulbs that provide the illumination for the piece, which is fairly large at 39.375"W X 56.25"H. The optimal place for it would be in a room with dark blue or black walls, where the small orbs would really stand out, but it would look just as lovely in any high-ceiling room, as well. Price: $9,195.38.

14.5 Series Pendant Lighting

Interesting light fixtures can set a home apart, especially if you live in a development where all the houses look similar from the outside. The 14.5 Series Pendant Lights are an innovative take on a more traditional chandelier design. The lights are cast glass spheres that hang from steel cords at varying heights. There are 5 lights in a set (though they can also be purchased individually) and each 4-in. globe contains a low-watt halogen bulb, giving the effect of glowing bubbles. Price: $1,198.

Laguna Waterworks Bubble Panels

I decided to check out the innovative design at the CA Boom, West Coast Independent Design Show. One of the most eye-catching displays was the one shown above from Laguna Waterworks. Laguna Waterworks specializes in waterfalls, fountains and the hypnotic colored walls of water shown here. They come in different colors and can be custom sized. The water walls are low maintenance and require only occaisional refilling. The tranquil bubble panels sell for $1,199 for a panel that is 27" x 14" x 81" tall.
