The highly anticipated and long-awaited Broadway musical Spider-Man Turn Off the Dark has finally set an opening date for this fall. Plagued by financial problems and having gone through more than a few cast changes over the last six years the final cost of production is estimated to be upwards of $50 million, which easily makes it the most expensive Broadway musical in history. The show will be directed by Tony Award winner Julie Taymor, will feature music by Bono and The Edge, and stars Reeve Carney as Peter Parker. Spider-Man Turn Off the Dark is scheduled to begin preview performances on November 14th with opening night set for December 21st in the newly renamed Foxwood Theatre.
