Benromach Organic Malt Whisky

The Scotsman reports on Benromach Organic, the first single malt whisky to be certified as organic by the Soil Association. The Benromach Organic Speyside Singe Malt is distilled in Forres and the entire process of making it, from the raw ingredients, to distillation, maturation and bottling is certified organic. The tasting notes says that it has oak aromas with notes of bananas and pineapples. The whisky is matured in virgin US oak. It sells for just under $50.
