The BCBGMAXAZRIA Women's Bedford Large Shoulder Bag comes in three colors: Oyster (whitish), Raspberry (reddish), and Blue Surf (at right), but our favorite is unanimously this bright teal! "Blue Surf" is not a bad name for this bold shade, which has the eye-catching allure of a deep lagoon.

We love the asymmetrical rectangular front pocket, and the elegantly trimmed cloth strap. The dark metal details add distinction to the simple, 17"W x 12.75"H x 6"D shape.

Teal, or "Blue Surf," goes beautifully with white and black ensembles, and would be an excellent match for this spring's greys, as well.

BCBG Max Azria Origami Shoulder Bag, Handbag of the Day

The BCBG Max Azria Origami Shoulder Bag is the perfect bag to compliment the chunky jewelry trend this season.

This plump little purse is crafted from soft, imported cowhide. The first things we noticed (and liked) about this bag were the heavy-handed, deliberate ruching on the strap and the origami-like folds on the body of the bag.

The Origami Shoulder Bag is just large enough to carry all the essentials, but modest enough to avoid that "duffel bag" look. We love the flower turnlock closure; it looks vintage and dainty -- very much in keeping with the style of the bag.

We recommend pairing this with vintage gloves, whether you're carrying it with a casual or dressy outfit, to maximize its well-to-do feel.

BCBG Plans To Go Fur Free

Max Azria becomes the latest fashion designer to make the fur-free pledge. The Humane Society has announced that BCBG Max Azria Group will go fur-free as of the Spring 2009 collection. The decision effects the portfolio of 15 brands, including BCBG Max Azria, Max Azria, and Hervé Léger by Max Azria. So far more than 75 companies are listed on The Humane Society's list of fur free retailers. They range from mall stores like Abercrombie & Fitch and Anthropologie to designers such as Calvin Klein, Stella McCartney and Tommy Hilfiger.

Every thing is coming up rosy pink during breast cancer month. The latest pink must-have are these beautiful rose-colored glasses from BCBG. BCBG Embroidered Cut Out Handbag, Handbag of the Day

It has been quite some time since I have ventured into a BCBG store. Many years ago, their clothing and accessories seemed to have sophistication with a hint of sex appeal. Nowadays, they seem to swing towards the sex appeal side and have done away with the sophistication and design quality. I was pleasantly surprised - actually amazed - when I saw this Embroidered Cut Out Bag and realized that it was by BCBG. A bit on the trendy side, it does have a unique design that immediately catches your eye. The neutral pale beige leather balances out the prominent cut outs and brass hardware. It features double straps and a top clasp and snap closure while the interior has a zip and two pouch pockets. Price: $374.

BCBGirls Sedona Shopper, Handbag of the Day

The name of the Sedona Shopper is a dead giveaway that the bag is supposed to evoke the southwestern desert, but I can't help but think of the beach when I look at it. The textured, sand-colored leather accented with pink and turquoise stones just reminds me of the LA coastline. This is in no small part because that color scheme was co-opted by the city in the 1990s and is heavily present in the signage around town. Beach or desert, both are sunny all year round, making this tote a great summertime choice. Price: $198.
