Stubb's Bar-B-Q Marinades and Sauces: A Texas Institution

Stubb's Bar-B-Q, the Texas institution known for its live music, rustic atmosphere and authentic slow-smoked, hand-trimmed barbecue, is a nominee for a Readers' Choice Award for Best Gourmet Sauces.
In the late 1960's, C.B. "Stubb" Stubblefield opened his first restaurant in Lubbock, Texas. The restaurant quickly became a destination for authentic barbeque and live entertainment. Stubbs was ground zero for musicians like Joe Ely and Stevie Rap Vaughn. In the early 1990's, Stubb's Bar-B-Q restaurant relocated to Austin's entertainment district, where it remains today. The restaurant is located downtown on the corner of Red River and 8th Street, housed in a rustic building with a huge backyard that holds thousands nightly for live music and delicious barbeque.
For those not fortunate enough to travel to Austin to enjoy Stubb's legendary mesquite smoked BBQ in person, there's hope. Stubb's offers its famous BBQ sauces, rubs and marinades through its online store.
Stubb's All-Natural Bar-B-Q Sauces are still made the way Stubb himself made barbeque: no high fructose corn syrup, and no MSG or artificial preservatives or colors. Stubb's, which is the leading all-natural brand, uses only the highest quality ingredients, giving any barbecue flavor and providing outstanding performance on the pit and on the dinner table. The product line is also gluten-free. Stubb's flavors include Original, Hickory Bourbon, Honey Pecan and Mesquite. The BBQ Sauce comes in both Spicy and Mild. The company also offers a host of delicious marinades for beef, pork and chicken. Its Bar-B-Q rubs come in a variety of flavors including Bar-B-Q, chile-lime, herbal mustard, rosemary-ginger and burger.
Vote for the Gourmet Sauce that you believe is the best of breed. The voting period runs through July 31 and winners will be announced on August 1.
