Cynthia Rowley Limited Edition Dress Up Band-Aids

Cynthia Rowley Limited Edition Dress Up Band-AidsCynthia Rowley has already jazzed up diapers, and now she's taken on Band-Aids. Her limited edition Dress Up Band-Aids ($10 per tin; 20 assorted sizes; 14 designs), created in collaboration with Johnson & Johnson, feature designs that make the bandages look like strips of sequins, gold chains, and lace, as well as square-cut bandages that look like jewels. Packaged in two different arty tins, the bandages help others too: $1 from each sale at Cynthia Rowley stores will be donated to Design Ignites Change, which engages high school and college students in design and architecture projects that address social issues in their communities. Dress Up Band-Aids are available at the Shop at Cooper-Hewitt, as well at Cynthia Rowley stores and her website.

Bandages for the Heart

Bandages for the Heart were designed as symbols of tough times, to represent both the injury and the healing. They aren't real bandages (like these Swarovski ones) for use on actual physical wounds, but instead are meant to be worn as badges of honor, or perhaps inspiration, again and again. Designed by Alysia Dee Kraus, Bandages for the Heart are available in either sterling silver or 18k gold with garnet jewels. Each comes wrapped in a gauze towel for a unique presentation and, if you want to be really unique, you can always opt for the wedding band(aid) version. $250 - $1300
