Lamborghini Hard Drive by Asus

If you're driving a Lamborghini sportscar, you might as well pick up a Lamborghini laptop computer to go with it. But what do you do if your Lamborghini laptop doesn't have enough storage capacity? Why, you get a Lamborghini hard drive, too!

Like the branded Lamborghini mobile phone and the aforementioned laptops, the new external hard drive is made by Taiwanese electronics company Asus, and features a design inspired by the exotic supercars. It will be available in 500GB and 750GB sizes, with either high-speed USB 2.0 or SuperSpeed USB 3.0 connectivity. But with prices starting at around $120 for the 500GB USB 2.0 version, they cost nearly twice as much as a competing device without the supercar styling.

Engadget Checks Out the ASUS ZX1 Lamborghini Phone

Ok, so we were just talking about this yesterday but since Engadget got an up-close-and-personal view of the phone I figured it needed to be revisited. Earlier it was thought the iPhone-esque gadget would cost between $900 to $1,000 but apparently it will be more in the ballpark of $1,500. Expected to first arrive in Europe around May I wonder if it will get as much love as the iPhone... surely Lamborghini enthusiasts will be the first in line. That kind of car needs matching accessories.

A Lamborghini iPhone?

Although not produced by Apple, the ZX1 Lamborghini PDA phone by ASUS looks and acts much like the iPhone. Expected to be announced at the CeBit tech show in Germany this month, the high-tech phone claims to have touch-screen access, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 3G connectivity, and will run with either Microsoft Windows Mobile 6 Pro or Windows Mobile 6.1. I'm not sure if customers are expected to buy the car to go with their fancy new phone, but the handheld piece alone with cost you ... about $950-$1,000.

Prada Limited Edition Pink Leather Laptop Released

Way back in January, we saw some pictures of a pink ASUS S6F laptop computer from Prada, though it was only a prototype and we really didn't have all that much information on what it would be released. It seems that its time has come, however. Prada has announced that their pink leather laptop will be released just before Christmas, although the pink package will be limited to only 50 machines. It is only about $2,500 for the posh PC, the same price as the non-pink ASUS laptop, but you can count of the fact that their rarity will drive up the prices pretty quickly.

Asus Unveils Another Leather Laptop

We first heard about the Asus S6F when we saw pics of the pink crocodile leather version at CES. Now, for those not into the pink there is a version where the laptop's wrist rests and lid are both covered in your choice of camel or dark chocolate cowhide. The company says the leather is designed to age well but I'd love to see a picture of this beauty after a year of hard use. The machine has a 1.6GHz low-voltage dual-core Core Duo L2400 processor, with 1GB of DDR 2 SDRAM, a 100GB hard drive, a multi-format DVD writer and an 11-inch WXGA anti-glare screen. It will sell in England for  £1700 (around $3,060).

Asus 6F Pink Laptop

When we see a pink laptop we know it's aimed at women. Chip Chick has pictures of the Asus S6F that is being showcased at CES. That's pink crocodile leather you see here covering the top of the laptop and the wrist area inside. The S6F has a 11.1 inch ultra-bright widescreen display and is a slim three or four pounds. The model is a prototype but they say it will be on sale during the early part of this year and will be sold through a partnership with Prada.
