Ashlee Simpson-Wentz in Beverly Hills, Estate of the Day

Her ex-boyfriend Ryan Cabrera's house is undercontract and now singer-actress Ashlee Simpson-Wentz has turned to the same real estate agent to list her Beverly Hills home. The LA Times Hot Property column reports that she bought the home in 2007 before her marriage to Fall Out Boy's Pete Wentz in 2008. She paid $4.5 million but she's not looking for a profit here, the home is listed at an even $4 million.

The five-bedroom compound offers 7,100 square feet of living space on more than half an acre. It sits on a private street and has nice outdoor space in the form of a courtyard with a meditation garden, fountain and firepit as well as a tranquil hillside pool and two-story guest house.

The main house has cathedral beamed ceilings, wide walnut plank floors and French doors that open to decks with views. The home was built in 1992 and has an eat-in kitchen and an upstairs master bedroom with his-and-her bathroom closets. The lower level offers more bedrooms and an entertainment media room on the way out to swimmer's pool and spa. The listing offers just a few pictures that show a private getaway with a rockstar feel.

Ashlee Simpson's Stingray Skirt

The updated version of Melrose Place is launching this fall promising as much soapy intrigue as the original. One of the stars, Ashlee Simpson Wentz was recently spotted in the striking outfit above featuring the high-waisted crown skirt by David Alexander. The skirt is almost reminiscent of the short skirts worn by Heather Locklear in the original but with an updated edge courtesy of leather details which highlight the curves of the female body. The skirt is available in stingray or gold leather and sells for $400.

Alexander himself could practically be a character on the show. The young designer (he's just 24) is the son of a former Dallas Cowboy cheerleader and beauty queen. Alexander went pre-law before deciding to follow his passion for fashion studying at FIDM and the Parsons New School of Design in New York City. He has already commanded young Hollywood's attention by dressing Khloe Kardashian, Vanessa Minillo and Britney Spears. We'll be seeing a lot more from him in the future.

Ashlee Simpson's House for Sale

Ashlee Simpson has just put her Encino home on the market, deciding to leave the hills for the beach. The house is located on one acre of land in the Royal Oaks gated community off Mullholland Drive. It has 4 bedrooms, 7 bathrooms and 9,000-sq feet or total living space, including Ashlee's favorite feature: a 1,300-sq. ft closet off the master suite. It has great views, a pool and lots of marble patio space. According to Simpson, you can see her parents' house from the estate, so celeb spotting is a fringe benefit of the property. The house is listed by Sotheby's and the asking price is just under $6 million.

Did Jessica and Ashlee Turn Down Coq au Vin for Pizza Hut?

It sounds like a publicity stunt but gossip newsletter Popbitch is reporting that when Jessica and Ashlee Simpson were recently in Australia they weren't too thrilled with the local cuisine. They went for dinner at the lovely Glass Brasserie in the Hilton where they were staying. Instead of indulging in the fancy fare, the girls ordered in from Pizza Hut (Jess does commercials for the company). Given that the Glass Brasserie offers everything from crab bisque to creme brulee, it sounds like the girls missed out on a treat.
