The ArtScience museum is due to open on Feb 17 at 1:18 p.m., a time chosen by a feng shui master as being auspicious. The curved roof of the museum harvests rainwater, sending it to a reflecting pool. There are a total of 21 gallery spaces that will embrace achievements in both art and science. The 60,000 square feet of space will include Leonardo DaVinci's Flying Machine and a celebration of the KongMing lantern, the sky lantern popular in Asia. Traveling exhibitions will change every three to six months.
