BFF Bracelets Link Soldiers and Civilians

This isn't a luxury item, but it's a neat idea worth mentioning. America Ferrera, Camilla Belle, Corbin Bleu and Wilmer Valderrama are some of the celebrities that are part of the BFF initiative. BFF bracelets are matching friendship bracelets created by BFF Entertainment, in conjunction with the American Freedom Foundation, as a way to directly connect American citizens with military personnel overseas. These matching friendship bracelets create a pen pal connection, giving the military buddy a link to home. After purchasing the bracelet, the buyer registers it online to be connected to a soldier who will receive and wear an identical bracelet. 25% of the purchase price goes directly to the American Freedom Foundation to support veterans. The bracelets cost $10.

America Ferrara In Los Angeles, Estate of the Day

america ferraraA little note for the stagers of America Ferrera's Los Angeles home, white covered books don't make a study look cozy, it just looks weird (see also, blank rectangles to indicate where the flatscreen televisions go). The star of Ugly Betty and of the new movie "Our Family Wedding" has been trying to sell her Los Angeles home for a while. The Real Estalker noted last year that she bought the three-bedroom home in the Beachwood Canyon area in April 2008 for $1.415 million. It's not known if she ever lived there for long, she moved to New York City for her television show shortly thereafter. She listed the home at $1.685 million last year but as Move Trends reports, it is back on the market with a new low price.

The 3,500 square foot house is fully wired for sound. The master suite takes up the entire upper level with a large balcony with views, an adjacent office, master bath, walk-in closets and fireplace. There is a dining room with a sliding glass door, leading out to the patio. This home is now listed at $1.599 million.
