Iroquois Hotel in New York Lets You Choose Your Treats Online

The Iroquois Hotel in New York has a new way to book your amenities at the same time you book your room online. Their Elegant Touches menu lets you select several different wines, chocolates, a cheese plate, fruit plate, Frette bathrobe, flowers, or even a cake. It's a great way to treat yourself or the people you are staying with to a little something special. An even better idea would be a list of personal tolietries that you could tick off in advance and I suspect that as people get more and more comfortable booking rooms online more hotels will adopt this type of service.

The Venetian Offers Bags To Go Service

The Venetian in Las Vegas has an interesting new amenity, they are the first on the Las Vegas strip to give guests a faster way to deal with the airport. The Venetian has partnered with McCarran Airport to introduce Airport SpeedCheck Advance, a service that lets guests check their luggage and receive their boarding passes while at the hotel. The service lets you check out without having to worry about your luggage and cuts airport wait time. The service costs $20 and the luggage must be dropped off three hours prior to departure. Currently SouthWest Airlines is the only carrier in Las Vegas participating in the Bags To Go service so it's not a big deal yet but since many hotels are adopting in-room check-in I think we will probably see more of this type of service in the future.
