Alan Jackson In Florida, Estate of the Day

Singer Alan Jackson recently sold his massive Tennessee plantation, Sweetbriar for $28 million but he's not done yet, the country superstar also has a cute little Florida cottage he's looking to sell. His four-bedroom Key-West-style home in Tequesta, Florida is far more modest than his massive Tennessee home.

Jose Lambiet's column in the Palm Beach Post says that Jackson bought this place for its enviable long dock overlooking the Intracostal. The dock was a perfect place to dock a megayacht. But now Jackson is keeping his boats near his new house on Jupiter Island. The singer recently moved back into his mansion on Jupiter Island. Like many other celebs in the area including Celine Dion and Tiger Woods, he bought a mansion, tore it down and then spent millions creating a new more lavish spread. This home was mainly used for guests or staff. It has a deep-fishing motif with trophies mounted on the walls. Jackson bought this house for $1.27 million and has listed it for the same price.

Alan Jackson's New Lifestyle Line

alan jacksonThese days it seems like musicians can't rely on CD sales and tour revenues alone to make money. Country singer Alan Jackson, who currently has his Tennessee home listed at $38 million, has a new lifestyle line. The singer has partnered with the Cracker Barrel Old Country Store on a 40+ piece assortment of lifestyle items available only at Cracker Barrel beginning November 2.

The Alan Jackson Collection includes menswear and womenswear, food items, collectibles, an Alan Jackson Signature Rocker and other exclusive items including a CD. This is the first time Cracker Barrel has developed a complete line of merchandise around a star. Jackson was involved in the creation of the collection and advised Cracker Barrel on what he thought might appeal to his fans. The most expensive piece will be the Alan Jackson Signature Rocker, a solid hardwood rocker made of Dutch Spruce logs harvested in Maine and hand-assembled in Tennessee. Alan's signature is engraved in the headrest and each rocker is numbered as part of a limited edition of 1,700.

Alan Jackson Lists His Tennessee Home For $38 Million

For a while the Eagle's Nest property in Franklin, Tennessee was the most expensive property in the area (it was listed at $33 million last year but is now down to $29.5 million). But now the Real Estalker reveals that country singer Alan Jackson has topped the market in Franklin by putting his huge home up for sale. Jackson's palace is 19,000 square feet with six bedrooms on 135 acres of land. The property includes a stocked lake with a boat house, three ponds, a 20-car garage, separate gym, a two-bedroom log cabin and more. Jackson and his wife Denise built the home known as Sweetbriar which has a hotel-like feel. The main home has a huge home theater and a downstairs recreation area with a full bar.

An expansive virtual tour can be found here. The log cabin just might be the most charming part of this property. It's got a great balcony perched right over the Harpath river and a small kitchen stocked with vintage-looking appliances. The home is hugely impressive but the question is whether anyone needs a home of this size and scale anymore and if they will pay $38 million to live in Franklin, Tennessee. Given that Eagle's Nest has been on the market for around a year, I'm guessing we'll be seeing Jackson cut his price by at least $5 million within six months.
