From Berg Properties Big Time Listings:
--Singer Rachel Sweet has put her Los Feliz area on the market for $9,995,000. The home known as Los Pavoreales was designed in 1926 by architect Wallace Neff and has been owned by Madonna, Jenna Elfman and Katey Sagal. The listing is here.
--Celebrity artist Steve Kaufman who was once Andy Warhol's assistant, has placed his four-bedroom home in Los Feliz neighborhood on the market for $1.597 million. The listing is here.
--Retired basketball star Alonzo Mourning finally sold his Miami home for $6 million. It was once listed at $10 million and was at $9.5 million when it was our estate of the day in 2007.
--Alan Alda has sold a three-bedroom single-family house in Sag Harbor, N.Y. for $550,000.

From Cityfile's Buyers and Sellers:
--Marisa Noel Brown, the youngest daughter of disgraced hedge fund manager Walter Noel, and her husband Matt Brown, have found a buyer for their townhouse at 12 East 78th Street. The home, which was $12 million in May, went into contract late last week. The couple purchased the home for $13.5 million in January 2008.
--via the NY Times, the buyer who paid $37 million for Gerhard Andlinger's penthouse at the Time Warner Center was Andrei Vavilov, the Russian financier who agreed to buy two penthouses at the Plaza last year for $53.5 million, but ended up suing the developer.
--via the NY Times, Italian movie mogul Vittorio Cecchi Gori has gone into contract to sell his penthouse at the Trump International for $18 million but the new buyer won't be able to move into the apartment-which Cecchi Gori bought from Donald Trump for $10.4 million in 1997, for a while. The foreclosed apartment has been gutted.
--via the NY Observer, My pick for New York City's most romantic apartment, the St. Urban penthouse owned by architect Lee Harris Pomeroy has had another price drop. It was listed at $16.5 million bit is now listed for $7.75 million. It was our estate of the day last year.
--via NY Mag, how low will the Harlem mansion built by Barnum & Bailey co-founder James Bailey go? It started at $10 million but is now listed for $3.5 million. We checked out this unique structure back in April.
--Software titan Peter Norton has gone into contract to sell his 45th-floor apartment at Trump International for the second time.
--Warren Spector, the former co-president at Bear Stearns has sold his penthouse at 40 Fifth Avenue. The buyer, retired Goldman Sachs executive Scott Pinkus, paid $8 million for the two-bedroom apartment.
--via the NY Observer, billionaire hedge funder Steve Cohen and his wife Alexandra paid $2.7 million for a loft at 99 Warren Street for Steve's 20-something stepson.
--via Christoper Fountain, John McCloy, a Connecticut banker has put his home in Greenwich on the market for $6.495 million. The listing for the three-acre estate is here.
--via the NY Post, An unidentified Texas banker is reportedly in contract to pay $15 million for a 19th-century townhouse at 34 West 10th Street. The 8,000-square-foot home had been listed for $17.9 million.
--Mortgage company founder Steven Schnall and his wife Sherri have dropped the price of their massive townhouse at 2 North Moore Street less than three months after putting it back on the market for $33 million. It is now listed at $29 million.
--Richard Bressler, a managing director at the private equity shop Thomas H. Lee Partners and the former CFO of Viacom, has gone into contract to sell his duplex at 850 Park. It was most recently listed at $13.5 million.
--Dorris Carr Bonfigli one of Bernie Madoff's victims, has dropped the price of her penthouse apartment at 930 Fifth for the second time since listing it for $11.3 million last December. It is now listed at $9.8 million.
-- Tommy Hilfiger is moving into the Plaza duplex he tried to sell for $50 million last fall.
--via the NY Observer, Maddona paid $32 million for her NYC townhouse.
--Michael Targoff, the Loral Space & Communications CEO who paid $10.25 million for a penthouse at 778 Park Avenue last year, has finally sold off his townhouse at 211 East 61st Street for $6 million
--Miami real estate developer Tibor Hollo and his wife Sheila have paid $2.1 million for a 38th-floor apartment at the Trump Plaza on 61st Street.

--A couple who sold their classic prewar co-op at 333 Central Park West during the peak of the market have now listed their Central Park North penthouse condo. Neil Breslau and Nancy Fire Breslau bought the penthouse at the 111 Central Park North new development for $4.975 million in May 2007 and have listed it for $6.4 million. The listing is here.
--Real-estate investor Michael Hirtenstein is selling his listed-for-$20 million Gramercy Park townhouse to newlyweds Lauren Davis (a Vogue contributor) and Andres Santo Domingo (a billionaire Colombian heir). He is living in a four-bedroom triplex penthouse at 25 Bond St, a rental that had been listed at $60,000 a month and is unofficially on the market for around $30 million.
--Brokers haven't gotten a peek at Ruth Madoff's apartment. The brokers need to appraise the homes before the feds can sell them.

From the LA Times Hot Property:
--Emmy-winning producer and writer Gary David Goldberg has sold his Brentwood estate for $15.15 million. It was first listed back in January for $19.95 million.
--Actress Brynn Thayer and her husband manager-writer-producer David Steinberg, have sold their longtime Pacific Palisades home for $2.995 million.
Actor-turned-producer David Ladd and his wife, actress Dey Young are listing their Beverly Hills Post Office area home for $5.995 million. The listing is here.
--L.A. Police Chief William J. Bratton and his wife, lawyer Rikki Klieman, have listed their Los Feliz-area home at $1,875,000. The listing is here.
--Actor-composer-artist Michael Toland and his wife, Stephanie, have sold a 1921 Mediterranean in the Los Feliz area for $2.5 million.

Designer Randolph Duke has put his fabulous Hollywood Hills home, shown above, on the market. The modern home on the AIA award for best residential design in 2007 and was recently featured on the cover of Architectural Digest. it is listed at $8.25 million.
--Actor Christopher Masterson and Laura Prepon have sold their home for $2.28 million.
--The creator of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Kevin Eastman has lowered the price of his home in Beverly Hills to $3.495 million from $3.995 million. The listing is here.
--Former Hollywood superagent Michael Ovitz and his wife Judy have listed their seven-bedroom home in Brentwood home for $14.95 million. The listing is here.
--A home belonging to music producer Michael Blakey has been reduced by $1.7 million to $2.995 million. He listed the home in August for $4.695 million. The property website is here.
--The home belonging to music producer Scott Humphrey has come on the market for $2.695 million. It will be our estate of the day later today.
--Sex advice columnist and author Laura Corn's Malibu house has been reduced to $3.795 million after two price drops. She listed it in August for $4.4 million. The listing is here.

--Mr. Big Time checks out the real estate past of lovely actress Gretchen Mol who picked up a house in Venice, California for $1.505 million in 2005, the real estate moves of actress Mindy Kaling of "The Office," who became a first-time homebuyer last year when she paid $1.575 million for a home in Los Angeles' Beverly Grove neighborhood, and the real estate dealings of "Entourage" actor Rhys Coiro, who paid $885,000 in late 2007 for his home in the Silver Lake area of Los Angeles.
--Actress Amy Yasbeck, who is the widow of actor John Ritter, has listed a four-bedroom house in the Hollywood Hills on the market for $2.495 million. The listing is here.

--The Polish government has paid $9.55 million last week for the Washington home of former Treasury secretary Nicholas F. Brady. The home will be used as an ambassador's residence.
--The WSJ covers a home that we looked at as an estate of the day last month, the Appleton-Parker residence, a 18,000-square-foot house designed by architect Alexander Parris which is listed at $27.5 million.
--Canadian businessman Peter Nygard is offering his Bahamas home for rent, asking $42,000 a night, or nearly $300,000 a week -- making it one of the most expensive vacation-home rentals in the world. The rental comes with use of an 82-foot yacht, a 48-foot fishing boat, two all-terrain trucks, a full staff, two pools and multiple spas, a 24-seat theater that can play three movies simultaneously, a spa and a disco room. --Back in May "Desperate Housewives" star Nicollette Sheridan and Michael Bolton bought a Hidden Hills mansion from Melissa Etheridge and her wife Tammy Lynn Michaels for $4.4 million. Bolton put his Westport, Connecticut home on the market for $11 million (it was our estate of the day in August). Sheridan kicked him out of their Hidden Hills home and so now Bolton is essentially homeless even though he owns two homes.

-- Bjork is looking for a Manhattan apartment. She has been searching TriBeCa and SoHo for a three-bedroom place in the $5 million to $6 million range. She was recently spotted checking out a three-bedroom duplex loft at 79 Laight St. with a $4.995 million asking price. This is the same apartment Naomi Watts toured when it was listed for $5.3 million. The listing is here.
--Natasha Lyonne has found a buyer for her studio penthouse. Her Gramercy Towers unit at 200 East 16th St. closed for $440,000.
--Alan Alda has picked up another apartment on his floor at Millennium Tower on West 67th Street. Alda and his wife of 51 years, Arlene, have paid $3 million for an adjacent two-bedroom condo.
--The Pierre hotel pad belonging to Lionel Pincus has had a major price adjustment. The 14-room duplex in the Fifth Avenue building is now for sale for $43 million price tag after a $7 million reduction. The listing is here.

--Gossip Girl co-creator Stephanie Savage has put her Los Angeles home on the market for $924,500. The listing is here.
-- Keira Knightley may have picked up a £2,500,000 townhouse in Shoreditch, East London.
--Reality TV producer David Garfinkle and MTV executive Maira Suro have listed their home in Encino for $3.699 million. The listing is here.

--Michael Vick's home, which was up for auction for bids over $590,000 on December 12, failed to find a buyer.

--A 12-room spread in Brookville that was actually once a cow barn is on the market for 2,094,876. The listing is here.
--Randolph Lerner, owner of the Cleveland Browns NFL football team, just sold a 2.5 acre property on Further Lane in Amagansett for $7.895 million

--Rap manager Chris Lighty just bought two apartments at the new Chelsea Stratus. He paid $5.28 million total, according to city records filed this week.
--Richard Mack, an executive at the multibillion-dollar investment group Apollo Real Estate, paid $23 million for Spence-Chapin's 24,463-square-foot headquarters at 4-8 East 94th Street and after some renovations put it on the market for $59 million, $36 million more than he paid. It has now been reduced to $49.5 million. The listing is here.

---Paris Hilton has bought a five-bedroom, Mediterranean-style mansion for $6.25 million. There's some discussion over whether she has or has not bought the home, a rather bland yet lavish home in the Mulholland Gates community. Check out the listing here, it's clear the home was a family dwelling and will need a big remodel to fit Paris's single girl lifestyle. The home may also have more bookshelves than Miss Paris may require.
--The 7,000-square-foot Beverly Hills home Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes have been renting is back on the market for $100,000 a month.

--Three Ponds in Bridgehampton , shown abvoe, which was on the market for $75 million is now listed at $68 million. The listing is here.
--Alan Alda has listed a three-bedroom Sag Harbor home that he used as a home for the help for $799,000.
--Patricia Clarkson has bought a loft in the Village for $1.55 million.

--Hulk Hogan, has sold his Miami Beach mansion to action movie director Michael Bay for close to the listing price of $18.9 million. You can see pictures of the home here.

--FIIC chairman and C.E.O. Abdul Huda Farouki, a friend of the disgraced former deputy Iraqi prime minister Ahmed Chalabi, is moving into the same building that Jon Bon Jovi recently paid $24 million for a penthouse in, the New Museum building in SoHo. Farouki's apartment is more modest, he paid $5.95 million for a second-floor condo.
--Anne Hathaway's parents have bought a $1.6 million apartment at the St. James Tower, a purplish far East Side condo.
--The daughter of socialite Denise Rich, Daniella Klistock, and her husband Richard have paid $3.9 million for a two-bedroom co-op at 785 Fifth Avenue where Ms. Rich lives in a lavish 28-room penthouse.
--The tales of Russian billionaire Len Blavatnik's search for a home in New York have been legion. Looks like Blavatnik, who has purchased a couple of blockbuster properties in New York is also the buyer of the Bronfman home making him just the second person history to pay over $50 million for a New York townhouse.

--"Dancing with the Stars'' dance Louis van Amstel has paid $1.1 million for a two-bedroom condo unit in West Hollywood.
--French singer Johnny Hallyday and his wife, Laetitia, have paid $3.9 million for a Mediterranean-style house in the Los Angeles' Hollywood Hills/Bel-Air area.
--Motley Crue lead guitarist Mick Mars has paid $1.46 million 3,603-square-foot home in Malibu.
The National Enquirer has reported that Lionel Richie bought actor Dennis Franz's 2,274-square-foot town home in Century City area as a surprise for his daughter Nicole Richie and her fiancé Joel Madden. The rather bland condo was listed at $1.395 million.
--Marie Osmond has listed her six-bedroom home in Orem, Utah for $1.2 million. The listing is here.
--Actress Anna Paquin and two relatives have paid $1,575,000 for a home in the Hollywood Hills.

--Actress Catherine Bell and her husband Adam Beeson, have put their Calabasas home on the market for $3.25 million. The listing is here.
--Robert Wagner and his wife Jill St. John are selling a home in Brentwood's Mandeville Canyon, designed by Cliff May, for close to $15 million.
--A five-bedroom modern home which belonged to the late sci-fi film writer Bernard Gordon has been sold for close to its $2.3-million asking price.
--Fashion critic Steven Cojocaru has bought a contemporary house with city views and a pool for close to $4 million. As the Real Estalker reported in May, Cojo had listed his five-bedroom Hollywood Blvd. home for $2.995 million.
--Chris Salvaterra, an executive with Nickelodeon Movies and producer of "Fast Food Nation," and his writer wife, Marjorie, have sold their Venice home to "Flightplan" director Robert Schwentke and his wife, Jen Howard. The selling price was $1.6 million. The Salvaterras bought a home in Hancock Park.
