Nicole Murphy Creates Jewelry Line

nicole murphyNicole Murphy might be most famous for being Eddie Murphy's ex-wife (and now Michael Strahan's fiancee) but she also had a career as a model and now has launched her own line of jewelry. Murphy and her business partner Yolanda Braddy created Friendship, Love and Peace, a line of necklaces and bracelets composed of beads in a variety of materials. Prices range from under $100 for simple lava stone bead bracelets to over $6,000 for a knotted bracelet with champagne diamond-covered beads. The designs are meant to appeal to both men and women and the different textures give the pieces an organic tactile quality. The jewelry can be ordered online and is set to appear in boutiques and department stores later this year. Stars that have worn the pieces include Adam Lambert and Slash.

Fans of American Idol runner-up Adam Lambert can get their hands on a pendant that shows the same design as one of his tattoos. Lambert has teamed up with Pennyroyal Silver on a pendant to benefit MusiCares, the foundation that cares for musicians in trouble. Lambert got an 'Eye of Horus' tattooed on his wrist when he made the top 36 on 'American Idol' and the pendant, at right, bears this symbol. The pendant sells for $150 and comes with a collector's card featuring a sketch of the pendant, a quote and his signature. The pendant is a limited edition of 100 as is another pendant to benefit MusiCares which was designed by Jack Black. Black's pendant, shown at left, also features a unique sketch.

UPDATE: Adam Lambert's pendant is temporarily sold out due to a webstore snafu. Pennyroyal Silver says there are still quite a few Lambert pendants left which will be sold via auction. Follow Pennyroyal Silver on Twitter for more details.
