The Willy Guhl Loop Chair
Willy Guhl's credo is "achieving the most with a minimum of effort." Although I can appreciate that sentiment (it's always good to be efficient!) this particular result, the Willy Guhl Loop Chair, just looks like a hunk of scrap to me. Maybe my decorating skills are failing me (they're highly questionable on a daily basis anyway), but I can't picture any environment where something else wouldn't look better than this chair. But to each their own! I'm sure plenty of people love it. Made in Switzerland from a 1954 design, it's made for indoor or outdoor use out of a single self-supporting fibre-cement band and sells for $1000 even.
