The Webber House, Estate of the Day

Whenever I am nostalgic for Boston, it's for the history and for homes like this one. The Webber House in Brookline is a grand old beauty from 1885. You don't get any land with this house (it's on .37 acres) but you do get gorgeous finishes. Classic stonework, shimmering stained glass, fireplaces and carved wood details. It has five bedrooms total, a living room, music room, raised sitting area, large dining room, kitchen and pantry, study and billiards room, spread out over three floors. This home is listed at $2.7 million. After the jump, unfortunately this home suffers from a curse that often afflicts older homes, that of the badly remodeled bathroom.
