Veritas SUV and RSIII Coupe in the Works
Filed under: Luxury Cars & Autos

Enthusiasts of exotic European supercars had better keep their eyes on Veritas. The niche German automaker currently only produces one model, but a whopper though it is, they've got bigger plans.
The company's sole current model, the RSIII roadster, recently made its debut at the exclusive Salon Privé in London, packing a BMW V10 engine producing the customer's choice of 500 or 620 horsepower. Only 30 examples of the extreme open-air roadster will be built, but with an eye on the lucrative Middle Eastern market, the company plans to build an additional 30 closed-roof coupes. But that's not all. According to the company's chief executive, Veritas is also working on plans for an exclusive sport-utility vehicle that would make a Porsche Cayenne seem downright common: a carbon-fiber SUV packing a small aircraft engine. Sounds mouthwateringly delicious, so we'll just have to keep our ears to the ground to hear it coming.
