Vendome Chair

It wasn't very long ago when the style of armchairs - particularly those found in the living room of grandparents' houses - called for them to be overstuffed and finished with large, uncomfortable buttons. The Vendome Chair, available at Sipure Design in Miami, still uses large buttons to accent and pleat its black wool covering, but the buttons are much improved over grandma's because they are made out of Swarovski crystals. Whether they're more comfortable than alternatives is up to you, though. Price: $3,390.
