Every now and again it's good to switch things up and offer a 'handbag of the day' that steps away from the high-fashion world yet offers an accessory that is still essential to a daily wardrobe. Here is where Samsonite's Black Label Attache Case designed by Thom Browne comes in. Reflecting the 1960's design that represents the focal point of Browne's Fall/Winter collection, this attache features a dark gray leather exterior and Thom's signature striped interior. Available exclusively at Samsonite's Black Label stores as well as Thom Browne's NYC store this case look fashionable and formidable all in one neat 60's package.

Swarovski Encrusted Samsonite Trunk

I'm going on a trip next week and although I'd love to have a new stylish suitcase I think this Swarovski Crystal Trunk by Samsonite Black Label is a bit over-the-top for my taste. Modeled after a popular 1920s style and covered from top to bottom in sparkling, glittering crystals, this trunk is a mix of flash and class -- modern bling on a vintage design.

The trunks are available in a limited edition of only be 30 and although they were available on Colette just last week, as of today they're no longer listed.

Samsonite Black Label Collection for the Holidays

Alexander McQueen's design for Samsonite's Black Label Collection has recently added a new holiday look in silver for the Hero Al1 and Travel Al2 pieces. The unique ribcage design of the Hero bag was inspired by the human torso which protects our precious internal organs and is complete with a backbone on the opposite side of the bag. Prices on the original pieces range from $775 to $900 but perhaps the metallic shell will increase the price...I'm not sure. This limited edition version will be released in November at all Samsonite stores. Check out the gallery for the rest of this great collection.

Samsonite Black Label Vintage Collection

Isabella Rossellini is the spokesmodel for the Samsonite Black Label Vintage Collection, which was designed to have the same sort of "timeless beauty and classic appeal" that she exudes, but in luggage form. Each piece uses leather detailing, often accented with metal studs, and uses bold colors that will never get lost in the crowd at the baggage claim, although some more neutral colors are available as options if you don't want your bags to attract too much attention. Pictured here are the mini and beauty bags, but the line also includes duffels and wheeled uprights with both hard and soft sides.
