Beachfront in Malibu, Estate of the Day

Last week's LA Times Hot Property column led me to the beachside home of Roy Schlobohm, whose father founded the famed bra and lingerie manufacturing company, Shirley of Hollywood. Scholobohm has listed his Malibu beach home at $13.3 million and it's worth a long look if only for the verdant lawn all that glorrious beachfront. This property on Pacific Coast Highway is a bit up the coast in a secluded part of Malibu, away from the major clog of traffic. The layout is a bit weird, there are two houses with two bedrooms each, a main house and a guest house. Walls of glass make the ocean part of your daily life. The current decor is also interesting, the white and shiny contemporary house has been enlivened with animal prints and exotic art. This home is listed at $13.3 million.
